Alfatec Group organized the first Mini-Hackathon, in which students of Zagreb faculties participated.
Lots of students came - from freshmen to graduate students, mostly from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) and the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ), who were divided into groups of two and three members and solved the tasks together.
The main goal of #AlfaHack is to get to know the student's approach to the task, how they are in group work, and what knowledge they have on the chosen topic.
At the beginning of #AlfaHack, we presented Alfatec Group to them, and then all individual sectors. Then it was time to solve the two-hour tasks - depending on the preferences of the participants, they could choose Research & Development, Business Intelligence, or IT Security.
The emphasis of the tasks was on creativity, the way of thinking and solving problems, and not only on concrete knowledge.
At the end of #AlfaHack, all groups presented their problem solutions, and the three most successful were awarded gift certificates, while others also got their presents.
In addition to the knowledge test, the students also arrived for refreshments - juices, salty and sweet snacks, and after the successfully completed tasks - dinner.
