The 16th Job Fair, probably the most important event for employment in the domestic IT industry, was held at the Zagreb Fair.
Among 152 companies from 14 different industries, Alfatec presented itself to the students at its stand in Pavilion 11D.
We held many meetings, and the interest of the students exceeded our expectations. Students could talk to our colleagues from IT Security, Human Resources, Marketing, Research and Development, and Business Intelligence Departments, to find out everything about student summer jobs, internships, and employment after graduation.
"We are primarily looking for students interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence because this is the basis of our software solutions - we gather top experts in this field. Cooperation with the academic community and events like this allow us to have direct contact with the young people we need in the field constantly evolving." - said Suzana Srpak, head of Human Resources of Alfatec Group.
The technology sector, primarily in the USA and then in Europe, started to cut the number of employees, and this started to happen in Croatia, as well. Despite this, Aflatec Group follows its strategy and development plan - we are still always looking for new quality personnel.
Leon Cvetkovski, who was one of the visitors to the Job Fair last year, can personally testify to this. This year he was on the other side of Alfatec's stand. Although he is still a student, he was employed as a junior developer through the student service, and he shared his experiences firsthand with interested students.
We presented ourselves to the students in a new, rebranded outfit, so they couldn't miss us due to a lot of the white and black balloons.
