One of the biggest Croatian career events was organized by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. Alfatec Group presented itself to about a hundred students.
Students had a chance to learn more about us through a creative video on ‘Employer’s Pitch’, to see the application of practical knowledge acquired by our young colleagues at the workshop. Still, most of the students visited us at the Career „špancir“.
The workshop “From Raw Data to Business Useful Knowledge” was held by Tin Diljak (Junior BI / DWH Consultant) and Dario Strunjak (Junior Software Developer, R&D sector, student at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing) and showed everyone how to create useful information from a large amount of data – with the help of Python programming language and Power BI tools. The workshop got extremely positive feedback from students who were able to see the first-hand expertise of our junior staff.
At the Career Walk (Špancir), students had the opportunity to meet the director Marko Kornfeld and the director of the R&D sector Ivo Botunac. Both of them were happy to present the history, present and future of Alfatec Group.
We emphasised that we have three FOI employees, so it is not surprising that there is a lot of applicants for internships and student work.
