Alfatec Group takes pride in the success of the educational initiative “AI se educiraj” (Get Educated on AI), organized by the Croatian Association for Artificial Intelligence (CroAI). This program, aimed at teachers, professors, principals, and non-teaching staff in Croatia's education system, has already made a significant impact under the expertise of Ive Botunac, Director of Research and Development at Alfatec Group.
Since its launch in September, the initiative has educated over 2,500 participants, marking an incredible milestone in advancing AI knowledge within the education sector. These numbers reflect the growing interest in AI among educators. One participant shared, “This education helped me broaden my horizons, taught me how to use AI in class, how to be in step with time, and how to motivate students more by using AI.”
One of the most important people in this initiative is Ive Botunac, whose extensive expertise in AI and passion for education have been instrumental in making the program accessible, engaging, and transformative. Ive’s ongoing PhD research in artificial intelligence and his ability to present complex AI concepts through practical examples have enabled participants to integrate the presented technologies into their teaching methods—or plan to do so.
The program's success is also a testament to the collaboration and trust established between Alfatec Group and CroAI, along with numerous institutions that hosted the workshops, including the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin (FOI), University of Zadar, and Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, among others.
Ive is proud to contribute to shaping an education system that embraces AI as a tool for growth and progress. By empowering educators, we are taking meaningful steps toward a future where technology serves as an ally in shaping young minds.
